live/BACKEND is today used by a large number of venues, festivals, theatres, and other cultural institutions for ticket sales as well as planning and execution of events. live/BACKEND is divided into >Ticket< and >Event<, where many customers start with one, and after some time choose to use both due to the many integration options and synergies between the two branches of live/BACKEND.
live/BACKEND is based on the users’ wishes and needs and is adapted to the tasks and challenges they are currently facing. At the moment, the corona crisis is currently a large challenge, which has resulted in a number of demands and restrictions. Of course, it also increases the demands on the systems used in daily operations, including ticket and event systems in particular.
Since the spread of COVID-19 exploded in March 2020, we have developed a number of new functions in live/BACKEND, which tackle the new challenges in an elegant way, which you can read much more about below.
If you want to try live/BACKEND during a trial period, or just want more information, you can write to us on the chat or at info@livebackend.com.
Automatic blocking of neighboring seats (corona seating)
Comply with official COVID-19 distance requirements via automatic blocking of neighboring seats. The function is available in live/BACKEND Ticket, and you can activate it for an area on the seat map just by checking a box. When a customer books one or more seats, one seat on each side is automatically blocked.
The function applies to each customer/order, so groups that book together can of course still sit next to each other. The function can be activated on selected parts of the seat map, e.g. standard seats and also works at seats that arranged in other ways.
Set different requirements for different areas of the place card
With live/BACKEND you are able to lock the booking system for a certain number of orders of certain types as well as to specify a minimum and maximum number of people who can book the order type. This may be relevant at seat maps with tables, where each table is limited to one group. Here, a minimum limit can be set for a table so that it cannot be booked by a single person as well as a maximum limit. This ensures that there are neither too many nor too few participants at your event.
Easy cancellation of events
In short, at an event you can easily refund all tickets, or selected tickets, and choose whether the refund should be including or excluding a cancellation fee. In addition, it is possible to include a message in connection with the cancellation, which reaches all affected customers. This way you do not have to reimburse each ticket individually.
Ability to offer replacement events
It is possible to offer replacement events so your customers can easily exchange their ticket for a new event if an event is cancelled. You can choose which events it should be possible to exchange the ticket for.
The new tickets retain their original value, which is particularly relevant if the next event is also cancelled or that the customer would like their ticket refunded after the exchange.
When sending information to ticket buyers, it is also easy to sort ticket buyers from who have already had their tickets refunded, ensuring that only relevant customers receive information from you about the possibility of a replacement event.
Download complete participant lists
The report with a complete list of participants for the event provides an overview of all tickets at an event and contains the status and time for any check-in as well as any refund date.
The report can in particular provide valuable knowledge in relation to COVID-19 infection detection, should it become necessary to locate who has been sitting where and whether or not they showed up for the event.
Automation of refunds via account transfers
This tool makes some of the most difficult refund cases much easier to resolve.
The tool handles the cases where it is not possible to make a refund to the payment card because the ticket has been purchased 6-12 months ago (depending on the card type). With the tool, manual account transfers are now replaced with an automatic flow, where the system sends out and email with a link to a form that the customer can fill in with his account information, after which the amount can be refunded.
More corona features on the way
Since it does not appear that the corona crisis is going away just yet, and we will probably have to wait until the end of 2021 before events can be held normally again, we will of course continue to develop new features that will make your everyday life easier during the special circumstances we are in right now.
If you have any special needs, we are responsive and willing to develop a solution if we assess that other cultural institutions will also be able to benefit from the solution. Write to us in the chat or at info@livebackend.com to find out more.
